Akintayo is an Associate Partner at SimmonsCooper Partners and leads the Commercial and Civil Litigation team.

Akintayo has over 15 years of experience in various legal areas, including constitutional law, banking and finance, insurance law, asset management, public interest litigation, estate administration, election petitions, employment law, and general civil and industrial relations law. This experience demonstrates his versatility in handling a broad spectrum of legal issues, from corporate disputes to nuanced constitutional matter.

Background
Akintayo graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, with a Bachelor of Laws degree. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2008. Joining SimmonsCooper Partners in Lagos in 2015, he rose to the position of Associate Partner by 2023. He is a key member of the firm's Central Management Committee, contributing to business risk management, policy development, and legal and business procedures.

• Successful joint representation in Defence of a foremost telecommunications infrastructure operator and a foremost professional, Financial, Tax and Audit Services Firm against a liability claim arising from an audit exercise.
