Funmilola is actively involved in the firm’s debt or equity capital raisings for both corporate and public institutions. Her expertise in transactional work related to finance comes highly recommended. Lola routinely assists individual and corporate bodies in diverse areas of acquisitions from arriving at the best acquisition decisions to managing post acquisitions risks. Before joining the firm, she had worked as inhouse counsel in the Risk Management Unit of a leading Nigerian bank. She also consulted for Partners, Attorneys & Counsellors, Chigago, U.S.A. Funmilola holds an LLM degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Newcastle, UK and was admitted to practice law in Nigeria in 2000. 

Some of her recent engagements include:

·         Acted as team member for role of Bond Counsel in the ongoing issuance of $2Billion Lagos State Infrastructural Bond,

·         Acted for CAPIC, the largest specific purpose real estate fund in Nigeria worth in excess of US$300million on foreign direct and portfolio investments, finance structuring, acquisitions;

·         Advising on financing, project implementation models for the construction of mixed use facilities at 24,000 square metres involving Landmark Global Realty Limited, Dragages Engineering & Construction and Bouques Batment International,

·         Advised in corporate restructuring and risk mitigation analysis of the local operations of the world’s leading security services provider.

·         Acted in the team of investment adviser and transactional counsel for the project financing, structuring of the nationwide development of Protea Hotels in Nigeria;

·         Joint Venture structuring between Skye Bank and Fourscore for condominium projects in Ikoyi, Lagos.

·         Preparation of due diligence reports, review of vending agreements and other ancillary documentations in the several capital market raising.
